Floods Devastate Wildlife in Kaziranga National Park

A total of 123 hog deer perished in the recent floods at Kaziranga National Park. Of these, 104 drowned, 17 died while receiving care, and two were hit by vehicles while crossing the national highway. Additionally, 18 hog deer are still under treatment after being rescued. The floods also claimed the lives of six rhinos and two Sambar deer. In total, 137 wildlife fatalities were reported during the second wave of floods in Kaziranga National Park.
