For drunk driving, the son of a former MLA is being detained by Assam Police

The Assam Police is making every effort to capture those who drive while intoxicated and cause mayhem in the streets. In this regard, the son of a former minister and MLA from the Jorabat area was taken into custody by the police on Friday night in connection with a drink and drive incident. They were traveling from Nagaon to Guwahati. The MLA’s son misbehaved with the Jorabat police in the middle of the night as he was drunk. The police also took two of his friends into custody. After being held by the police all night, they were released early next day and a fine of Rs 10,000 was imposed on them.
