Former Assam Tourism Minister Chandan Brahma to Join UPPL, Signals Political Shift

Former Assam Tourism Minister Chandan Brahma, who has long been associated with the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), is scheduled to join the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) on April 12. Brahma announced this decision during a press conference at Cygnett Park hotel in Bongaigaon, stating that he sees joining UPPL as crucial for fostering lasting peace, development, and progress in the region. He will formally join UPPL at 4 pm in Kajalgaon, with leaders from various political parties expected to accompany him in this move.
