Tragic Maternal Infanticide Rocks Karimganj District, Assam

In a heart-wrenching incident in Ramkrishna Nagar, Karimganj district, Assam, a woman named Shahina Begum allegedly murdered her three minor children and severely injured her younger sister with a sharp weapon. The bodies of the children were found placed on the bed of the house, while Shahina attempted suicide by cutting her veins. Locals alerted authorities, who rushed to the scene, recovering the victims and the accused. Shahina Begum is under investigation, and the police have filed a case under Section 302/326 IPC.
