Former Congress Leader Rana Goswami Assumes Role as BJP State Vice President in Assam

Former Congress working president, Rana Goswami, who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on February 29, has been appointed as the state Vice President for the BJP in Assam. Goswami’s entry into the saffron party was marked by the presence of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam BJP President Bhabesh Kalita, and other prominent party members. Prior to joining, Goswami submitted his resignation to the Congress, expressing his decision to step down from his role as the working president of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee and his active membership in the Indian National Congress.
