Assam Chief Minister Distributes Rehabilitation Grants to Former ULFA Cadres Following Tripartite Agreement

Two months after the historic tripartite agreement between the Centre, Assam Government, and the pro-talks faction of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed rehabilitation grants to former cadres and their families at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati. The financial assistance was part of the ongoing efforts to reintegrate former ULFA members into mainstream society after the organization disbanded and established the Asom Jatiya Bikash Mancha. Sarma expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri ji for inspiring groups to choose the path of peace and progress, emphasizing the momentous nature of this transition for Assam.
