Four Arrested for Vandalism at St. Mary’s School in Nalbari

Police on Thursday arrested four leaders—three from Vishwa Hindu Parishad and one from Bajrang Dal—for obstructing Christmas celebrations at St. Mary’s School in Nalbari district.

Those arrested include VHP leaders Manas Patgiri, Bhaskar Deka, Biju Dutta, and Bajrang Dal coordinator Nayanmoni Talukdar. They were detained near Riddhi Siddhi Hotel and are being questioned at Belsor Police Station.

The accused allegedly led a group that vandalised the school, destroyed Christmas decorations, and threw away a statue of Jesus Christ. A case was filed by the school authorities.
