Fuel Price Hike Sparks Concern Among Guwahati Residents

Fuel prices increased again on Tuesday, adding pressure on consumers facing rising living costs. In Guwahati, petrol prices rose to Rs 102.11 per litre, while diesel increased to Rs 93.44 per litre.
The hike has triggered concern among commuters, transport workers and middle-class families, who fear a rise in transport fares and essential commodity prices. Auto drivers and residents said the continuous increase in fuel costs is making it difficult to manage daily expenses.
Economists and traders also warned that higher fuel prices could increase transportation and logistics costs, affecting market prices across the state.
