Garima Saikia Garg Raises Concerns Over Accused’s Bail in Zubeen Garg Death Case

Garima Saikia Garg on Monday expressed concern that the conditional bail granted to accused Amritprabha Mahanta by the Gauhati High Court on October 9 could affect the investigation into singer Zubeen Garg’s death. Speaking at a peaceful protest organised by the Zubeen Garg Fan Club at Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur, she questioned the alleged tampering with evidence and sought an update on an inquiry ordered at the Inspector General level.

Garima also raised concerns about the safety of her family and supporters if other accused persons were released on bail. Appealing to the people of Assam to continue demanding justice, she said the protest should remain peaceful and free from political influence. Police and paramilitary personnel were deployed at the venue as the case continues before a fast-track court.
