Gauhati HC Disposes PIL on Pollution at Lanka Railway Station

The Gauhati High Court disposed of a PIL regarding pollution at Lanka Railway Station due to loading and unloading of harmful materials like fly ash and coal. The court noted that the Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA), has already issued a “Consent to Operate” with conditions for pollution control. The PCBA is free to act if these conditions aren’t met.
