Gauhati HC Seeks Roadmap to Fast-Track Pending Cases Against Lawmakers

The Gauhati High Court has asked the Director of Prosecution to submit a plan to expedite decades-old cases against MLAs and MPs. Noting serious delays in courts across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, the court also sought explanations from judicial officials and government counsels on pending cases, some dating back to 2003.
