Gauhati High Court Orders Reallocation of NEET PG 2024 State Quota Seats

The Gauhati High Court has directed the Assam government to allocate the original 288 NEET PG 2024 State quota seats along with a 25% increase for EWS, bringing the total to 371 seats. The Court ordered the distribution to follow the State’s reservation policy.

The directive came after petitions sought a proportional seat increase for EWS. The first round of counselling will restart, but previously allotted seats will remain unchanged. Candidates can opt for newly added 83 seats. The second round of counselling, held on December 12, 2024, has been set aside. The process must be completed before the February 28 deadline.
