Six Stations on Dibru-Sadiya Railway Line Closed
Six stations on the historic 143-year-old Dibru-Sadiya railway line under the Tinsukia division have been closed, as confirmed by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Uttam Prakash Yadav.
During a meeting with DRUCC members, seven recommendations were proposed to improve the railway line, including station reconstruction, long-distance rail services, and a new railway terminus at Dangari. The DRM assured that a TVU survey would be conducted, mobile gatemen deployed, and unnecessary crossings reviewed. However, extending DEMU services via Dibrugarh was deemed unfeasible. The railway project from Rupai Siding to Parashuram Kund remains under evaluation.
