Gauhati University Researchers Patent Herbal Anti-Obesity Formula

Four Gauhati University researchers have secured a patent for a plant-based formulation to tackle obesity. The blend, combining Phyllanthus urinaria and Adhatoda vasica, showed promising results in lab trials, reducing fat, cholesterol, and body weight in mice. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and VC Prof Nani Gopal Mahanta hailed the achievement as a milestone merging traditional knowledge with modern science.
