Gauhati University Shines in Times Higher Education World Rankings 2025

Gauhati University has entered the 1201–1500 band in the THE World University Rankings 2025 and ranks 48th among Indian institutions in Asia. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta credited the achievement to bold reforms and collective efforts. GU’s recent milestones include an A+ NAAC grade, 13th NIRF rank among state universities, and global recognition for research.
