Gaurav Gogoi Backs Airport Naming, Flags Poor Air Connectivity in Dibrugarh

APCC President Gaurav Gogoi supported naming Dibrugarh Airport after Dr. Bhupen Hazarika but raised concerns over poor evening flight connectivity. Speaking in the Assembly, he urged the government to improve air services, especially for emergencies. He appreciated existing efforts but stressed the need for more focus on remote areas. The Dibrugarh Press Club also recently sought regular evening flights to boost regional development.
