Gaurav Gogoi Backs Prateek Bordoloi Amid Father’s Switch to BJP

APCC chief Gaurav Gogoi has extended support to Congress candidate Prateek Bordoloi after his father, Pradyut Bordoloi, joined the BJP. Prateek, contesting from Margherita, continues to hold a key role in the party.

Gogoi said the decision about Prateek’s political future is his own and assured moral support. He also plans to discuss the matter with the party’s central leadership.

Calling Pradyut’s exit “unfortunate,” Gogoi noted it was a personal choice. Meanwhile, Pradyut Bordoloi reiterated that his move to the BJP would not affect his son’s decisions.
