Gaurav Gogoi Slams Assam Govt Over Zubeen Garg Death Probe

APCC president Gaurav Gogoi accused the Assam government of mishandling the probe into singer Zubeen Garg’s death, saying the SIT has made no progress even after 40 days. He alleged the investigation is being misused to target critics instead of finding the truth. Gogoi vowed that Congress would reopen the case under court supervision if elected in 2026. He also defended a Congress leader over a Tagore song row, accusing the BJP of disrespecting Bengali culture.
