Gaurav Gogoi Wins Jorhat Constituency in Lok Sabha Polls 2024

In the Lok Sabha Polls 2024 results released on Tuesday, Gaurav Gogoi of the Indian National Congress (INC) defeated Topon Kumar Gogoi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by a significant margin in the Jorhat Constituency. The polling, held on April 19 in the 95 No Demow LAC, saw 142,850 out of 176,512 voters casting their votes. Gaurav Gogoi received 77,481 votes, while Topon Kumar Gogoi secured 61,570 votes, with NOTA receiving 1,272 votes. Gaurav Gogoi led by 15,911 votes, prompting congratulations from the Thowra Congress workers.
