Gaurav Gogoi’s APCC Appointment Sparks Opposition Unity Talks

Gaurav Gogoi’s appointment as APCC president has revived talks of Opposition unity in Assam ahead of the 2026 polls. Raijor Dal chief Akhil Gogoi, who earlier criticized Congress, called the move “positive” and expressed willingness to ally to defeat the BJP. Former APCC chief Bhupen Bora echoed support for joint efforts. Gaurav Gogoi has not yet commented on potential alliances.
