GCU Collects Nearly 1,400 E-Waste Items in Green Campus Drive

Girijananda Chowdhury University conducted an e-waste collection drive at its Azara campus on February 11 in collaboration with the Earthful Foundation, recovering nearly 1,400 electronic items. The initiative supports the university’s green campus goals and promotes safe disposal of hazardous electronic waste.

The drive also aimed to raise awareness among students about responsible e-waste management and aligns with Assam’s broader efforts to reduce environmental impact through recycling and circular economy practices.
