GMC campaign against businesses that violate norms

On Friday, Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) officials launched an operation against violators of regulations, including the operation of businesses without proper trade licences. On Friday, officials visited several businesses and fined some of them for violating trade licence rules.

They conducted operations in Ulubari’s Jockey and Lenskart showrooms, as well as one Banik Medicos. During this operation, officials fined the Jockey showroom Rs 500 and the Lenskart showroom Rs 2500.
