RPF Rescues Teenage Girl from Trafficker on Brahmputra Mail

The Crime Prevention and Detection Squad (CPDS) of RPF, Alipurduar, NF Railway, rescued a 19-year-old tribal girl from Sonitpur district of Assam from a woman trafficker on train no. 15658 Dn Brahmputra Mail. The rescue took place around 22:10 hours on Thursday as the train approached Falakata railway station in West Bengal. The girl was being taken to Delhi under false pretenses of a job opportunity. Sonitpur police, upon reaching Jalpaiguri on Saturday, took custody of the trafficker for further legal action.
