GMC Fines Man ₹10,000 for Illegal Poster Pasting

Guwahati: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has imposed a ₹10,000 fine on a person for illegally pasting posters on the Ulubari Footbridge at Lachit Nagar during an enforcement drive.

The civic body said the action is part of its ongoing campaign against the defacement of public property. GMC urged citizens and organisations not to paste posters or banners on public infrastructure and warned that strict action will continue against violators.
