GMCH Recognized as Regional Centre for Medical Education Technology

Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) has been designated a Regional Centre by the National Medical Commission. It will now lead Faculty Development Programmes for Assam, West Bengal, and Tripura. The centre was inaugurated recently at GMCH, with top medical officials attending. Its first training session, the Basic Course in Medical Education, was held from April 7–9, 2025.
