GMCH to Temporarily Shift Most Services to MMCH

Guwahati: Gauhati Medical College and Hospital plans to temporarily shift most services to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Panbazar by November 15 for repairs and reconstruction at its existing campus. Relocated services are expected to begin at MMCH on November 16.

The Health Department has emphasised coordinated arrangements to maintain uninterrupted care and minimise inconvenience. With GMCH handling around 3,000 outpatients daily, adequate facilities and diagnostic services at MMCH will be essential during the transition.
