Goalpara Youth Allegedly Kills Transgender Woman

A 28-year-old youth from Goalpara, Sona Babu Ali, allegedly killed a transgender woman, Zahidul Islam alias Asma Begum, with a sharp weapon at Gurkuchi village near Rangia railway station on Wednesday.

The victim was found with her throat slit inside their rented house. Ali, who had reportedly been living with the victim for several years, later surrendered at Lakhipur Police Station in Goalpara.
