Government of Assam will present an anti-cheating law during the next budget session.

The Assam Cabinet approved the introduction of a new law in the next Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly, with the aim of curbing the use of forged methods during public examinations.

The approval came at the weekly cabinet meeting on Monday, when the cabinet announced the introduction of a new bill called the “Assam Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Bill, 2024,” which aims to stop question paper leaks and the use of unfair tactics in public exams.

The law would be tabled during the next Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly, which begins on February 5, 2024, the government announced.
