Governor of Assam Orders Major Reshuffle of Senior IAS Officials

In a significant administrative reshuffle ordered by the Governor of Assam, multiple senior IAS officials have been reassigned to new positions. Ajay Tewari, currently the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home & Political Department, will now also serve as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Mines & Minerals Department, as an additional charge.

Dr. Lakshmanan S., previously holding several roles including Secretary to the Government of Assam, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises, Mines & Minerals Departments, CM’s Secretariat, and MD of Guwahati Smart City Limited, has been relieved of his duties as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Mines & Minerals Department. He will now take on the additional role of MD, National Health Mission, Assam.

Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, formerly the MD of National Health Mission, Assam, and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Health & Family Welfare Department (additional charge), has been transferred and will now serve substantively as the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Health & Family Welfare Department.
