Govt Allocates ₹4.55 Cr for Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhya Temple

The Assam government has allocated ₹4.55 crore for the smooth conduct of the Ambubachi Mela from June 22–26 at Kamakhya Temple. Tourism Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass said preparations are underway, with meetings held involving 24 departments. Special arrangements will be made for differently-abled devotees, and alternate routes will be available. The event is now being referred to as “Ambubachi Mahayog.” Nearly 7 lakh visitors attended last year, and similar turnout is expected in 2025.
