Gunfire Attack on Police in Guwahati, One Arrested

A group of miscreants opened fire on the police in Guwahati’s Narengi area on Tuesday evening, injuring a Noonmati Police officer. The attackers, traveling in a vehicle (AS 12 AE 2086), tried to flee but were intercepted. One suspect, Sabin Basumatary from Routa, was arrested, and a large quantity of ganja was seized from the vehicle. Police are investigating possible drug smuggling links.
