Guwahati Car Thief Uji Ali Apprehended; Confesses to Selling to Militants

Guwahati’s Satgaon Police apprehended car thief Uji Ali from Golaghat district. Ali, the alleged mastermind of a car theft racket, confessed to selling stolen vehicles to militants in Nagaland. The arrest followed CCTV footage analysis and is part of an operation to recover a car reported stolen on March 10, 2024. Earlier arrests of two accomplices were made based on CCTV footage from a Jorabat petrol pump. Despite the arrests, the stolen vehicle has not been located, indicating the gang’s suspected business of selling cars in Nagaland.
