Guwahati Hotel Shooting: Accused Ghanakanta Gogoi Interrogated Over Five Deaths

Guwahati: Ghanakanta Gogoi, accused of killing five people at Hotel Bilas Inn in the Bora Service area on October 26, is undergoing interrogation at Paltan Bazar Police Station. Police are investigating whether a dispute over the hotel’s lease triggered the shooting. Sources claim the accused has shown no apparent remorse.

Gogoi was arrested from Saukuchi by Basistha Police and later transferred to Paltan Bazar Police. Investigators recovered a .32-bore pistol with an empty magazine, reportedly licensed in Nagaland. Police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact motive behind the attack.
