Guwahati Jal Board Launches Special Water Quality Testing Drive

The Guwahati Jal Board has started a special water quality testing drive across all District Metered Areas in its South-Central zone to strengthen monitoring and public confidence in drinking water safety. The drive covers 100 DMAs supplying water to about 53,000 households, with trained Jal Sakhis and engineers conducting household-level tests. Officials said samples will also be sent to laboratories and results will be made public to ensure transparency and early detection of any issues.
