Guwahati Municipal Corporation Renames and Names Five Paths

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has renamed and named five paths across the city. The Sahid Anil Mujamil Path in Ward No. 55 is now Uttar Gopal Nagar School Path, while BK Kakati Road in Ward No. 29 is now Dr. Satyendrnath Sarma Path. The Janakpur Tiniali-Journalist Colony path in Ward No. 41 is now Dhanada Baruah Path, the Rukmini Gaon bus stand to NRL petrol pump path in Ward No. 51 is now Rukmini Tangra Satra Path, and Tetelia Jharpara path in Ward No. 10 is now Alakananda Path. The GMC had issued a public notice for objections, but received none before proceeding with the changes.
