Guwahati Police Arrest Four in Driver Kidnapping Case

Guwahati Police arrested four individuals involved in the kidnapping of driver Amit Kumar Sinha on September 28. The suspects—Mofidul Haque, Rafiqul Hussain, Shariful Islam, and Mizanur Rahman—were apprehended in Goalpara and Dhubri and are being brought to Guwahati for further investigation. Amit was abducted after being lured to Hatsingimari under the pretext of a high fare. The kidnappers demanded a ₹1 crore ransom, later reduced to ₹20 lakh. After a week-long ordeal, police rescued Amit from Tikrikilla in the West Garo Hills on October 3.
