Guwahati to Get Its First Visa Facilitation Centre

Guwahati will soon have its own visa facilitation centre, set up by VFS Global, allowing people from Assam and the Northeast to complete biometric formalities locally instead of travelling to cities like Delhi or Mumbai.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the centre will greatly ease the burden on students, professionals, and travellers. It will offer visa services for over 60 countries, with details to be announced soon. The facility is expected to boost international accessibility and benefit thousands across the region.
