Haj 2026 Airfare Increased by ₹10,000 Amid Middle East Crisis

The Haj Committee of India has increased Haj 2026 airfare by ₹10,000 due to rising aviation fuel costs linked to the Middle East crisis.

Pilgrims have been asked to deposit the additional amount by May 15 through online or bank payment methods. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government reduced the proposed airfare hike through negotiations with airlines.

Meanwhile, Northeast Haj representatives raised concerns as many elderly pilgrims from the region are already in Mecca and may face difficulties making online payments.
