Heavy Vehicles Banned on Borkhola-Kalain Road During Construction

The Executive Engineer of PWRD has imposed a ban on heavy vehicles exceeding 15 metric tons (MT) on the Borkhola-Kalain Road, currently under construction as part of the Asom Mala Project. The restriction, effective immediately, aims to prevent damage to the road and minimize disruptions to pedestrian and small vehicle traffic. LPG carriers are exempt if they use the Borkhola side only. The ban will remain until further notice to ensure smooth construction progress.
