Hemant Soren Addresses Massive Rally in Biswanath, Targets BJP Over Tea Workers’ Issues

A major election rally by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and the Jai Bharat Party was held at Dhulie Tea Estate Ground in Biswanath, drawing around 15,000 people.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren campaigned for joint candidate Tiharu Gaur in the 70th Biswanath constituency.

Addressing the crowd, Soren accused the BJP of neglecting Adivasis, Dalits, and backward communities. He also demanded a daily wage of ₹500 for tea garden workers, criticising the current pay of ₹250–300 as insufficient.

Highlighting poor living conditions, Soren said many tea workers live in cramped homes lacking basic facilities like electricity and beds.
