Hemant Soren Highlights Adivasi Issues at Assam Poll Rallies

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed two election rallies in Assam’s Sonari and Rajgarh, campaigning for JMM candidates Baldev Teli and Mahavir Baske.

Soren highlighted the contribution of Adivasi and tea garden communities to Assam’s tea industry, while raising concerns over their continued lack of fair wages, housing, and basic amenities.

He accused past governments of exploiting these communities for political gain without ensuring their uplift and called for greater awareness and accountability among voters.

Emphasising unity, Soren said the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, along with allies, aims to challenge existing political dynamics and secure rights for marginalized groups.

He also criticised rising costs, corporate influence, and the “double engine government” narrative, urging Adivasi communities to unite and support JMM candidates in the upcoming elections.
