Himanta Biswa Sarma Visits Zubeen Kshetra, Calls Zubeen Garg an “Evergreen” Emotion

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday visited the under-construction Zubeen Kshetra and reviewed the ongoing development and beautification work dedicated to Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg.

The Chief Minister said the project would be a fitting tribute to Zubeen Garg’s contribution to Assamese culture and described the singer as an “evergreen” emotion for the people of Assam. Sarma also said Zubeen’s popularity goes beyond politics and generations, adding that “there should be no politics in the name of Zubeen.”
