IAS Probationer Busts Bribery Racket in Silchar Office

In an undercover sting, IAS probationer Ashish Unhale exposed a bribery racket at Silchar Sadar Circle Office. Two officials, Krishna Barman and Mehjabin Rahman Mazumdar, were caught demanding extra money and have been suspended. A departmental inquiry and legal action under the Prevention of Corruption Act are underway. The crackdown follows complaints of harassment of villagers paying land revenue.
