Indian Army, Assam Rifles Destroy UKNA Hideouts in Manipur
In a joint counter-insurgency operation, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles dismantled six bunkers and twelve shelter camps of the banned United Kuki National Army (UKNA) near the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur’s Churachandpur district.
Conducted in the forests of Songphu and Henglep, the raid uncovered dummy weapons and war-like supplies. Militants fled before security forces arrived.
Officials confirmed the operation as part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
