India’s First Mobile Elephant Clinic Launched in Kaziranga
Wildlife SOS, in collaboration with forest departments, launched India’s first mobile clinic for elephants, named Haathi Sewa, at Kaziranga National Park. The clinic aims to treat blind, injured, and abused captive elephants, focusing on those forced to beg or used in patrols.
Over 40 elephants received medical care at the launch camp, with a similar camp planned for Manas National Park. Officials hailed the initiative as a major step in elephant welfare.
