Israel Election 2026: Netanyahu, Opposition Fail to Secure Majority in Exit Polls

Jerusalem: Israel’s parliamentary election has produced no clear winner, with exit polls showing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc and the opposition led by Gadi Eisenkot falling short of the 61 seats needed for a majority in the 120-member Knesset.

Netanyahu’s bloc was projected to secure 51–52 seats, while the opposition was expected to win 49–51 seats. Voter turnout reached 77.7%, the highest in 27 years. With Arab parties projected to win up to 19 seats, coalition negotiations could prove crucial in determining Israel’s next government.
