Ivory Poaching Raid Yields Results Near Assam-Arunachal Pradesh Border

In an effort to combat wildlife poaching, the Special Task Force (STF) Assam Team, in collaboration with Dhemaji police, conducted a successful raid near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. The operation, carried out in Kaemi Village under Jonai Police Station, resulted in the recovery of two ivory tusks weighing approximately 15.20 kilograms. Additionally, authorities seized a motorcycle from the scene. Despite the success, the prime suspect, Dibas Palit, managed to evade capture. However, legal proceedings have been initiated in response to the incident.
