Jorhat Hotel Raid: 15 Detained in Suspected Prostitution Racket Probe

Jorhat: Jorhat Police conducted a late-night raid at a hotel near NH-37 on Monday and detained 15 people, including seven women and eight men, in connection with a suspected prostitution racket. Police said the operation was carried out at Orchid Hotel based on specific information about alleged illegal activities.

Authorities stated that the women are currently being treated as potential victims, while the detained men are being questioned as part of the investigation. Evidence and other materials were seized from the premises, and forensic documentation was also conducted.

Police suspect that a wider network may be involved and have not ruled out further arrests. The investigation is ongoing, and action will be taken against anyone found involved in unlawful activities.
