Jorhat Zila Ahom Sabha Urges Heritage Protection and Sacred Symbol Respect

The Jorhat Zila Ahom Sabha called on the government to protect Assam’s historical sites and prevent encroachment. In an executive meeting, the Sabha warned against using the Tai Ahom dragon symbol commercially and discouraged catering staff from wearing Ahom Royal attire, deeming it disrespectful. They also requested land at Koliapani for community purposes.
