Journalists Protest Restricted Access at Karimganj Vote-Counting Centre

Tension arose in Karimganj as journalists clashed with the district administration over restricted access to the vote-counting centre at Karimganj College. Journalists alleged that they were not provided with information or round sheets by the returning officer until 11 am. Frustrated with being kept away from the counting centre, they staged a sit-in protest. The situation was later resolved after Superintendent of Police Partha Pratim Das, ADC Drubajyoti Pathak, and DIPRO Iftikar Zaman intervened and requested the journalists to end their agitation.
